Winter is creeping up on us and colder, darker days go hand in hand with increased energy bills. Christmas is also fast approaching so anything that can save you money has to be a good thing.

With this in mind, we are pleased to offer an opportunity specifically for residents in the Leeds, Calderdale, and Bradford local authority areas to save money on their energy bills, through a discounted winter tariff.

To encourage more people to consider switching their energy suppliers, with a view to saving money on their bills, the 3 council partners that sit behind the WRE brand have agreed to fund a promotional code worth £20 for their residents. The area based redemption codes are as follows:

  • Leeds – LEEDSWIN18
  • Bradford – BRADWIN18
  • Calderdale – CALDWIN18

For people living in the applicable areas, the codes can be redeemed by visiting and selecting our fixed ‘winter’ tariff. If you follow the quotation process the website will tell you how much you could save by switching. Whatever your 12 month personal projection is, you can deduct a further £20 on the basis of this promotion. Should you choose to switch to us, please enter the relevant code into the field that says ‘originator code’. Alternatively, if you prefer to speak to someone directly call us on 0800 022 3553 and state the code to the customer service representative when you receive your quotation. Please note that this code will only work for the winter tariff. If you choose a different tariff, you will not receive a £20 credit on your new account.

Once the switch has taken place, your new account will immediately be credited with £20*. For a medium usage dual fuel customer** the annual cost of our best tariff, with the promo code applied, will be £870.78 (in West Yorkshire). If you’ve never switched your energy supplier before or you’re currently on an expensive variable rate tariff, you could save hundreds of pounds by switching to us.
